Financial Analyst

Job Duty:    
1. Revenue & Billing (30% of monthly workload): Monitor and review system-driven accrual and invoice process (both intercompany and third-party) – review responsibilities
2. Legal Entity Reporting (45% of monthly workload) :Prepare financial statements and disclosures for a number of subsidiaries
3. Project Management (20% of monthly workload): Support the Senior Analyst with creating robust onboarding process for Private Market initiatives
4. Projects, process improvement (5% of monthly workload): Collaborate with other team members and business partners on special projects, as the need arises

Background Qualification:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, accounting information systems or computer science preferred
2. 1+ years of finance/accounting experience preferred
3. Working towards a professional accounting designation (CPA/CA/CGA/CMA)
4. Good understanding of asset management industry
5. Experience in new system implementation is desirable

Technical Skill Qualification:
1. Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS office tools (e.g. Word and PowerPoint to develop reports, documents and presentations)
2. Experience with PowerBi is an asset
3. Experience with financial reporting tool Workiva would be an asset
4. Comprehensive knowledge of internal reporting requirements, sound business practices and controls and accounting/audit principles which apply to the asset management industry and financial services in general
